UnmixPrivacy Policy
The short version: Unmix does not collect, store, or share your personal data.
- There is no account or sign-in.
- There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- Audio separation runs on your device. Your music is never uploaded to us.
This policy explains how the Unmix app for iPhone and iPad (“Unmix” or “the app”) and this website handle information. Unmix is developed by Yuxin Chen (“we”, “us”).
Information we collect
We do not collect personal data through the app. We do not operate user accounts, and the app does not send us your audio, your separation results, your usage history, device identifiers, or your location. We do not sell data, share it with data brokers, or use it for advertising, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
Your audio and results
When you choose an audio file, Unmix copies it into the app's private storage on your device so it can be processed. Separation is performed entirely on your device using machine learning models that run locally. The separated stems and your task history are saved in the app's storage on your device.
You can delete a result in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. Your separated results and task history may be included in your iCloud or computer backups, depending on your device's backup settings. Imported source files and downloaded models are excluded from backups.
Information stored on your device
In addition to your audio and results, the app keeps a small number of settings in local storage on your device: whether you have finished onboarding, your selected separation mode, and how many free separations you have completed today. This information never leaves your device.

Unmix only connects to the internet for the following purposes:
Model downloads
The machine learning models used for separation are downloaded from our server at unmix.even.how, which is delivered through Cloudflare. As with any download, the request necessarily includes technical information such as your IP address and basic device and operating system details. We do not enable analytics on this server and do not use these requests to identify you. Cloudflare may process this technical information to operate and protect its network, as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Audio links you provide
If you add an audio file by pasting an HTTPS link, the app downloads that file directly from the server you specified. That server's operator receives your request, including your IP address, and handles it under its own privacy policy. The link and the downloaded file are not sent to us.
Purchases
Unmix Pro subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, Apple ID, or payment details. The app uses Apple's StoreKit framework to check whether you have an active purchase. Apple's handling of this information is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
Crash reports and diagnostics
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized crash reports and diagnostic information. This data is collected and anonymized by Apple, not by Unmix. You can turn this off at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Sharing your results
When you share stems from the app, you choose where they go using the system share sheet. Any app or service you share with handles the files under its own privacy policy.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, or third-party scripts. It is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard request information such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and secure the site, as described in the Vercel Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
Unmix does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or store personal data about you, we have no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete. All data created by the app stays on your device and is under your control. If you have a question or a request about your privacy, please contact us and we will respond.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Unmix handles information, we will update this policy and its effective date on this page.
